WebJul 12, 2024 · The third gear switch needs to be disconnected at the transmission, then the 8-6-4 won't work. Some people run it to a switch on the dash so they can turn it off if they want. I left mine connected. The mileage difference is quite noticeable with it disconnected. Some people don't like how it works...
