Feb 3, 2024 #2 I'm still running 62.0.3 and I only see about 230MB memory with 6 tabs open after about 1 hour. No videos or music playing in any of the tabs. WebI switched from opera to Firefox, and I noticed that every time I turn on my computer, after like 3 minutes Firefox starts using about 60% of my cpu (without launching it). I checked startup, and I don’t have Firefox there, i also have hardware acceleration turned off. So why Firefox starts using so much of my cpu when I’m not even using it?

Simple reason for this: If one of your tabs crashed it'll not crash your whole browser, just that one tab. Same for extensions. It improves stability a lot. TL:DR: I recommend more RAM, it's cheap, I'd say 16GB RAM are fine at the moment.
