WebI do not have an in depth knowledge of graphics cards/displays but I am looking to upgrade my monitor to a 3440 X 1440 Display and want to make sure it will work with my laptops NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics card. I read somewhere that if your graphics card can't handle the 3440 X 1440 then you may as well stick with the 2560 X 1080. Web3440x1440 is indeed a better resolution to invest in a higher end gpu, rather than cpu. The higher the resolution, the lower the disparity between cpu's and fps given the same gpu. So you're in a good spot to get a solid performing graphics card for longevity rather than a high end cpu for this use case.
