For deviants and their armour I believe you have to clear all of the respective deviant's quests including the EX quest.

With a pessimistic attitude, I finally defeated all the G1-4 monsters/hyper in the solo on the SnS. The screenshots show the quests that were the hardest for me. Only deviants remain. :D.
